Revolution Sustainable Solutions offers Encore PCR Resin, a certified LLDPE polyethylene post-consumer recycled resin suitable for various applications such as food packaging and reusable bags. The resin is mechanically recycled, ensuring high performance and purity, certified by The Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) and SCS Global Services. Revolution, has been granted a letter of no objection on January 13, 2022 from the FDA for its unique recycling method of LLDPE. This approval allows Revolution’s postconsumer resin to be utilized in food-contact packaging up to a 100% content level for almost all types of food, under the FDA’s Conditions of Use.

3 Rivers Plastics received FDA approval on May 25, 2023, allowing their recycled LLDPE to be used in food contact applications. This LNO specifies that the PCR-LLDPE, derived from LLDPE films previously in contact with food, is approved for use with all food types under specific conditions, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.

Natura PCR received an FDA Letter of No Objection on December 15, 2023, allowing their recycled LLDPE to be used in packaging for various food types, capable of withstanding temperatures from frozen to room temperature. This certification enables Natura PCR to offer products made from 100% recycled content for food packaging, marking a significant step in sustainable packaging solutions.

KW Plastics on April 29, 2023 for PP (no conditions of use specified).
Merlin Plastics Supply on Dec. 15, 2023 for HDPE (boiling down to frozen temperatures, and then reheated in the package permitted).
Ultra-Poly Corporation on Nov. 13, 2023 for PP (no conditions of use specified).
